Mu’adh ibn Jabal radiallaahu ‘Anhu said: The messenger of Allah sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa Sallam once held my hand and said :
يَا مُعَاذُ وَاللَّهِ إِنِّي لَأُحِبُّكَ وَاللَّهِ إِنِّي لَأُحِبُّكَ
O Mu’adh, I swear by Allah that I love you. I swear by Allah that I love you."
- Narrated by Abu Daawud in his Musnad. An-Nawawi said its Isnaad is Sahih (al-Adkaar p103). Ibn Hajar said its Isnaad is strong (Bulugh al-Maraam). Al-Albaani graded it Sahih (Sahihu Abi Daawud, 431)
